There's a time in my town, a low key area, where everything is Asleep. Well, not everything. Just the man made things.

Buildings have feelings! Feelings all their own, actually. They can be happy or sad, usually they're more limited in scope. At 6pm to 8pm, they're content. Like big, blocky cats they curl up with their tails over their noses and rest, knowing that they've done a good job of being... well, buildings.

Buildings like to be used. Used properly anyway, to constantly have people in and out, but not too many people. Too many people and they're Exhausted by the end of the day instead of content. The traffic flow of people around here is just enough.

There are some new buildings too. They have a different feeling; at the end of the day, they're still raring to go. It takes a while for them to calm down.

The older ones are used to the simple life; some people go in, some people go out, easy small town living.

The oldest ones are like grand parents; they're even more content, not only that they've done a good job that day, but that they've done well overall and know they're nearing their end, that one day they'll be cleared out and replaced with younger buildings. But I think, in a way, they don't mind.

With the sweet scent of a late summer afternoon near lush lawns and thick trees, a clean wind in the air and the content feelings radiating from the world around me, walking around my town is one of the most relaxing things I can imagine.
